​​New information hub connects locals with Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone updates, opportunities and support​

A new Community Information Centre has opened in Mudgee, giving locals a central place to learn more about the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission project and what it means for the region.

Located at 30–32 Church Street, the centre is a one-stop shop for:

  • Transmission infrastructure maps, diagrams and other project details
  • The latest photos and videos showcasing construction progress
  • A dedicated meeting space for briefings and community presentations
  • Information on job and business opportunities and landowner support.

The centre is a joint effort between ACEREZ - the network operator designing, building and maintaining the Central-West Orana REZ transmission network - and EnergyCo, to help ensure local communities stay informed, supported and involved as the transmission project takes shape.

The centre will be staffed by the ACEREZ team from Tuesday to Thursday (except on public holidays), and open at other times for special events and activities.
