This Public Interest Disclosure Policy sets out how we support and manage reports of such matters and meet the responsibilities under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2022.

We have entered into an arrangement with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water (DCCEEW) that states DCCEEW exercises these functions in accordance with section 81(2) of the PID Act:
- the function of receiving voluntary public interest disclosures (which includes the assessing of public interest disclosures);
- the function of dealing with voluntary public interest disclosures by investigating relevant serious wrongdoing; and
- the provision of training under section 48 of the PID Act.
The arrangement is effective from 12 February 2025.
We are committed to working with communities, landowners and other stakeholders to inform the development of NSW renewable energy zones, priority transmission projects and other energy infrastructure.
We value your feedback. If you’re unsatisfied with any aspect of our work, please let us know.
The Government Information (Public Access) Regulation 2018 declares EnergyCo to be part of the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). This means that DCCEEW manages compliance with Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) on behalf of EnergyCo.
DCCEEW aims to release as much government information as possible to meet the obligations under the GIPA Act. The information is published on the DCCEEW website and you can find out more information about the information access, governance as well as feedback for DCCEEW on their website.
