Social Impact Management Plan Quarterly Monitoring Report released for Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone Transmission Project

EnergyCo has published the first Quarterly Monitoring Report under the Social Impact Management (SIM) Plan for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project.  

The report covers the period June to September 2025  

The SIM Plan, published in June 2025, outlines how EnergyCo and the network operator, ACEREZ, will manage the social impacts of the transmission project during construction. The SIM Plan includes a commitment to regularly monitor and report on key social impact indicators, helping track the project’s performance and its social footprint.

This first quarterly report marks an important step in delivering on our commitment to manage the social impacts of the project, and to deliver the REZ in a socially responsible, inclusive and transparent way. 

Monitoring will continue throughout the construction period, with reports published quarterly to ensure emerging issues are addressed early and opportunities to enhance benefits are identified.
