Generation and storage projects in the South West REZ
The projects below have been granted the right to connect to the South West REZ access rights network following a competitive tender process. You can learn more about that process on the AEMO Services website.
These projects will connect up to 3.56 gigawatts (GW) of clean energy to the South West REZ transmission network when they are complete. They'll deliver millions of dollars of direct community and employment benefits through the South West REZ Community and Employment Benefit Program, funded through generator access fees.

What's next for access right in the South West REZ
Projects that wish to connect to new transmission projects in the South West REZ must have an access right. There are currently no plans for another competitive access rights tender.
Projects that didn’t receive access rights may still be able to connect to lines that are not part of the South West REZ access rights network, subject to approvals processes.
For more information about the South West REZ tender process, visit the AEMO Services website.
