Supply opportunities and the electricity transition

With a growing pipeline of renewable energy projects across NSW, local businesses have more opportunities to supply goods and services.

Using local suppliers strengthens regional supply chains and delivers lasting economic benefits for communities across NSW.

We're working with project proponents and delivery partners to encourage local participation in generation and storage projects and electricity infrastructure projects.

To support this, we've partnered with the Industry Capability Network (ICN) to connect NSW businesses with opportunities through the free ICN Gateway.

Find local suppliers in the capabilities directories

We've developed a set of renewable energy capability directories in partnership with ICN.

These directories include information on equipment manufacturers and suppliers, as well as service providers involved in installation, testing, commissioning and ongoing maintenance.

These directories make it easier for project developers to identify and engage local suppliers for renewable energy generation and storage projects. This in turn makes it easier for local businesses to find work on these projects.

You can download the directories below.

Register at ICN to become a supplier

Major projects use ICN to advertise work packages and seek capable suppliers to participate in the delivery of renewable energy and electricity infrastructure across the REZs.

We've partnered with ICN to create the NSW Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) Topics page

The topics page is designed specifically for local businesses and industry participants. It helps suppliers understand how to get involved, position their capabilities, and connect with projects driving NSW’s energy transformation.

If you are a local supplier interested in bidding for project work, we encourage you to register with ICN via the topics page.
