We're a NSW Government authority that leads the design, delivery and coordination of renewable energy zones and priority transmission projects in a way that benefits consumers, investors and regional communities.

Kangaroo at Bodangora Wind Farm - Central-West Orana REZ

The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone is the first renewable energy zone in NSW and one of the first in Australia. 

Transmission lines on farmland - New England REZ

The New England Renewable Energy Zone will be NSW's largest renewable energy zone by capacity and scale.

The South West Renewable Energy Zone encompasses the Project EnergyConnect and VNI West transmission projects. 

Hunter-Central Coast REZ transmission project Ausgrid

The Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone will be the first renewable energy zone in Australia to upgrade existing distribution poles and wires.

The Hunter Transmission Project is a critical project that will carry electricity from inland renewable energy zones to homes and businesses across the state.

The Waratah Super Battery Project will act as a 'shock absorber' for the NSW energy system in the event of power surges and blackouts from events like lightning strikes.

The Port to Renewable Energy Zones program involves working with Transport for NSW to deliver key road upgrades so equipment like wind turbines can move safely.

The Community and Employment Benefit Program will contribute to the long-term prosperity of host regions by funding community-led initiatives, public infrastructure and First Nations projects.
